What goes in the non-arrival text — the child's name, or just the time?
First name only, and keep it brief. Parents recognize the situation immediately from the center name plus their child's first name. Don't include the classroom, room location, or any detail about where the child should be — first name and the missed window is enough. The goal is a fast reply, not a status report.
How many attendance texts should a parent get in a day?
Two at most — one check-in, one checkout. The non-arrival alert is the exception that adds a third, and only when the child actually hasn't shown up.
